Springtime Tradition

As outdoorsmen many of our tools of the trade have historically been made, at least in part, of wood. Increasingly synthetics, polymers, and plastics have replaced wood in many of these tools, but the world of custom made turkey calls is still dominated by natural woods for tone, clarity, and volume. Common materials include cherry, walnut, oak, and poplar but exotic woods like ebony, bubinga, and mahogany enhance the beauty of traditional calls.
